Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, Dr. Sunnie Kuna first arrived in the northeast to attend Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. She received her bachelor's degree in biochemistry with a minor in economics before deciding to stay in the northeast to do research at Massachusetts General Hospital for a year.
Following her research, Dr. Sunnie attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Discovering a love for creating smiles, she decided to pursue a three-year post-doctoral program in orthodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, earning a Masters of Medical Science (MMSc). During residency, Dr. Sunnie gained experience in both braces and clear aligner treatment while continuing her work in research.
In the clinic, Dr. Sunnie enjoys taking a patient-centered approach to treatment and works closely with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets their unique needs and goals. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association, she loves staying up-to-date with the latest approaches to treatment and newest technologies. When not working with patients, Dr. Sunnie enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and trying out new recipes.
